Varsity-JV-Frosh
La Salle Varsity Long Jumpers Nicholas Navarro and Brian Inzeo held off 60 other competitors to place in the top ten. David Tarver had another great day in the Triple Jump, jumping a Personal Best of 38' 8". In the Freshman division, Marcus Smith won the High Jump at 5'6" and placed 6th in the Triple Jump. Joseph Cruz placed third in the 55 meter Hurdles with a time of 9,3 and later won the Pole Vault setting a new meet record at 9'0". Corey Simmons won the Triple Jump crushing the former meet record of 37'3" with a jump of 39' 2 and 1/4".
THE FLYING BRICKS, La Salle's Shot Put Team, did very well. Ceasar Vargas placed third with a throw of 44' 8"; Jude Mondestine placed fifth with a throw of 43' 6", and Tommy Angeles placed sixth with a throw of 39' 6".
Runners Patrick Augustine, Carlos Rivera, Lorenzo Smith and Angel Alsina ran a respectable 4:15.1 for the Sprint Medley Relay. Our next MEET will be the Frosh/Varsity ARCHDIOCESAN CHAMPIONSHIP Jan, 30. SEE YOU THERE!!!
